RET closed 2022 with a net financial result of € 1.1 million. The the number of passenger kilometers increased by 39%.
2022 summary
After the last corona restrictions, the number of travelers increased sharply in 2022 - but still too little to run the company without government support. We also had to deal with downscaling due to staff shortages. At the same time, promising decisions were made about the network of the future: a new connection across the Maas on the east side of the city will be established, and resources were found to increase the metro frequency of the RET. Customers rewarded the RET with a rating of 7.9. Thanks to all those colleagues who have worked every day to keep the Rotterdam region moving.
